"Metal tells me the style, sections, composition." Igor Andryukhin
“Animal figures are not realistic, but shapely. I follow the material. My task as an artist is to make the viewer care.. When I get to work I take a great interest and try to convey in a cold material the character of a living being.”
Igor Andryukhin is interested in images of stray dogs, bird shapes, plastics of fantastic animals resembling cats in their grace. The master shows not sweet beauty, but on the contrary emphasizes the character, expressiveness, dissimilarity of his heroes, sometimes ugliness. He makes us, the spectators, love the flaws, to see in generic details the nobility in which we find the admiring of life and its imperfect perfections.
